We've answered some of the most common ones below.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically validated therapy that applies our understanding of how behavior works to real situations, with the goal of increasing helpful behaviors and reducing harmful ones. It is considered the gold standard treatment for autism spectrum disorder and is used to support individuals with a wide range of behavioral and developmental needs.
If your adult child is experiencing challenges with communication, social interactions, daily living skills, or has behaviors that are causing difficulties at home, day program, or in the community, behavioral consulting may be beneficial. We recommend reaching out for a free initial consultation so our team can help you understand whether our services are the right fit.
We provide services in the setting that is most appropriate for the individual's needs, including in-home, at day program, in community settings, or via telehealth. Our goal is to support skill development in natural environments where generalization is most meaningful.
Services are primarily offered on a private pay basis to allow for flexible, individualized support.
Some individuals may be able to use Self-Direction funds through the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities to cover behavior consultation. This depends on approval and must align with the individual’s Life Plan and OPWDD guidelines. Families should consult their Care Manager or Fiscal Intermediary to explore this option.
